Hi. I'm Dayanara, 17 years old, residing in Paliparan Dasma Cavite, a college student taking up BSA in La Salle Dasma.

Hindi po talaga kami mahilig sa pets, kasi before nung maliliit pa mga kapatid ko hindi pwede ang mabalahibo at nangangagat sa bahay like dogs and cats. Pero nitong nakaraan lang, may dumating sa amin na pusa, and we took care of him for a while. Napamahal ako sa pusa, ganun din ang mga kapatid ko, and we're missing him a lot since nung nawala at hindi na sya bumalik sa bahay.

Now I'm studying of proper way of taking care of cats. I'm a student and even though it's hard but I'm saving money to buy things that a cat needs. Siguro by next year pa ako makakabili ng persian cat, I hope prepared na ako when that time comes.

Your helpful advises would be a great help in my preparation, so please help me. Thank you.

Cats tend to leave the house in search for mates whenever they go in heat which happens about 2-4 times a year. The only way to prevent this is to have the cat neutered but that might be extreme.

Anyway you would want to prepare some toys (like small plastic balls and strings) and a litter box in anticipation of your incoming cat. Good luck.

Hi, do you have any advice what kind of cat food is best to keep the kitten's coat soft and thick? Where can I buy it? I read some forums about cat foods and what I heard is royal canin has a lot of good feedbacks from cat breeders. I want to try it as well for my new kitty so that she will get fat and healthy. Do you know if it's available in the Philippines? Thank you

I think that this was a good read. I just hoped that it would help out other people as well to prepare for cat ownership.

Also, having some good maintenance and cleaning kits like this one(www.facebook.com/MerialPhilippinesPets) would be good for your cat. In that way, you'll have no hassle in having a pet.

I have no problem with fleas in my kitty, her coat is now good and shiny. I bought a soap for cats and dogs at SM Dasma and it has good effects to my kitty. My question now is why does my kitty has bad breath?
